Picnic Basket

Absolute staple of Ashbourne

I have no idea how long Picnic Basket has been in Ashbourne, but it's a bloody long time. My dad used to go there when he was one of those guys who picks up money from banks (Securicore for those who remember that) - and that was over 25 years ago.

They do decent cobs, I think they're cash only, and we tried to recreate a Maccies Breakfast wrap one morning and it cost a small fortune, BUT, it was very good. Arguably better than the current ones. (RIP old Maccies breakfast wraps - gone, but not forgotten).

Always hear great things about it, and we've always had good munch from there when we've been.
